Philippines-based cryptocurrency change Cash.ph misplaced over 12 million XRP tokens (US$6.4 million) in an alleged hack, in line with a report by The Block on Friday.

- Information from blockchain intelligence platform XRP Scan confirmed an alleged hacker stole roughly 12.2 million XRP tokens through Cash.ph. Inside half-hour, the cash have been transferred to varied exchanges together with OKX, WhiteBIT, OrbitBridge, SimpleSwap, ChangeNOW and Mounted Float, The Block reviews.
- A WhiteBIT spokesperson instructed The Block that the change acted swiftly to dam 445,000 stolen XRP tokens. It added that WhiteBIT reached out to blockchain evaluation corporations Cristal and Chainalysis to flag addresses associated to the stolen cryptocurrencies.
