The KryptoCoinz is pleased to announce the next recipient of a Decentralized Futures Grant: Clarys.AI, a personalized AI assistant designed to revolutionize decision-making in the Polkadot ecosystem. Tailored for community members, Bounty Curators, and DVs, Clarys simplifies the complex landscape of OpenGov by providing data insights into proposals and discussions — all through a user-friendly AI chatbot interface.
Clarys.AI aims to deliver a minimum viable product that integrates datasets from both on-chain and off-chain sources. This product demonstrates AI’s ability to analyze OpenGov data, empowering participants to navigate funding proposals with precision and ease.
As Polkadot’s innovative governance system, OpenGov, continues to grow, it faces a surge in treasury proposals and referendums. These proposals draw from diverse funding channels, such as the Polkadot treasury, bounties, child bounties, and tips. The decentralized governance framework, overseen by a growing number of expert bodies, manages DOT token allocations — but not without challenges.
While existing governance interfaces are functional, they are not optimized for new builders or participants eager to join the ecosystem. This limits accessibility and usability, especially for key user groups.
Through extensive validation with community members, Clarys.AI has identified several key bottlenecks in the governance process:
- Double-Dipping and Double-Spending: Inefficiencies due to separate treasury and bounty structures.
- Duplication of Effort: The lack of integrated data insights results in repetitive work.
- Low Transparency: Off-chain processes obscure the details and progress of bounty proposals.
- Trust and Scam Concerns: The absence of tools for proposal comparison erodes confidence.
- Manual Data Sourcing: Participants face tedious, time-consuming tasks to gather and analyze governance data.
Clarys.AI addresses these issues head-on, transforming the Polkadot governance experience into one that is transparent, efficient, and accessible to all participants.
Clarys is a personalized AI assistant, trained on OpenGov data. The current MVP stage automates your workflow as follows:
- Accountability Check: Find out how complete a proposal is and how trustworthy its recipient is.
- Compare proposals: See if bounty proposals have also been submitted to the treasury or other funding streams.
- Categorize: Quickly access proposals, discussions, and bounty submissions within categories.
The vision for Clarys.AI extends far beyond its current MVP capabilities, with plans to enhance Polkadot’s OpenGov through a Multi-Agent Ecosystem. By integrating additional agents such as voting assistants, trustworthiness evaluators, and coordination tools, Clarys aims to evolve incrementally, enriching the governance experience.
Planned features for the Beta and Alpha phases after MVP launch include:
- Resilient Data Sources: Enhanced integration of on-chain and off-chain governance datasets.
- Comprehensive Bounty Implementation: Full incorporation of all on-chain bounties and their corresponding off-chain processes.
- Trustworthiness Metrics: Advanced tools to assess the reputation and credibility of beneficiaries.
- Wallet Login Integration: Simplifying access through secure wallet authentication.
- Multi-Agent Ecosystem: Gradual deployment of additional agents for expanded functionality.
- Customizable Dashboards: Tailored governance insights at your fingertips.
- Cross-Communication Hub: Streamlined collaboration for governance participants.
With these enhancements, Clarys.AI is set to become an indispensable tool for simplifying and enriching the OpenGov experience, while laying the groundwork for a more transparent, efficient, and collaborative governance future.
